Spriggan mark 2 English fan translation
Frequently asked

Do I need to speak Japanese?
No. You record English, written to fit the original timing. The Japanese clip is a reference for pacing and delivery.
How much time does a role take?
The running time on each role is the finished audio. Most are under two minutes, which is an evening with retakes. The two leads are considerably larger and are cast with that in mind.
What if a line will not fit in the time?
Let me know. Some lines are tight in Japanese as well. Where the English cannot fit, the script gets shortened rather than the delivery rushed so we'll work together on it.
Can I read for more than one role?
Yes. Eight actors covered every part in the Japanese release, and doubling is expected here too.
Is this legal?
The released patch is free, non-commercial, and contains no game data. You supply your own copy of the game and the patch modifies it. We are not affiliated with the rights holders, and if they ask us to stop we will.
Who owns the voice performances?
The actors do. They license them to the Spriggan mark 2 Translation Project for use in the patch and nothing else, keep the right to use their own takes, and are credited under whatever name they choose. We never sell or transfer a recording.
